I know that our Airport looses most of its signal about midway into the live room and the vocal booth in the back its gone. We are about 2500 sq feet so we don't need any crazy range extenders but there are a lot of concrete walls, so the Orbi seemed logical.
So I am returning the Orbi and back to the drawing board. The 5ghz network would just appear and disappear and we were never able to use it.Īfter an hour on the phone with support they said our only option was to upgrade to Sierra, not an option for us for obvious reasons and we cant expect every mac user that comes through the door to have Sierra. It works great with mobile devices, but that's it. It seems the current firmware is only compatible with macs that are running Sierra. I'll have to say on paper it looks fantastic, but we have been very disappointed and are returning. Horrible range and just doesn't do well with multiple users. So the airport extreme isn't cutting it anymore for us.
